After Hours

We don't indulge Pappy; he does not get to sleep in our bed. Well, okay, he does have his own blanket. And his bed is heated, if we ever find the power supply. But this is just sensible... the winters are very cold around here.

You look really cosy there Pappy...

...I sleep outside. But I do have a yummy warm synthetic sheepskin thingummie on top of a bed which is raised off the ground. And there's a cusion on top of that.

I curl up into myself and keep myself warm.

Works well for me.

I leave white hairs wherever I go so I don't think the ma would be thrilled with those on the bed.

She experimented with allowing me inside and sleeping near her bed a few times, but I ended up getting up on the bed and dang near pushing her off. The experiment was deemed less than successful.

I think she plans to let me be an inside dog when I get a bit older and when we move to a different house.

Sorry 'bout my rambling!

Chow for now,

Tin Tin xo

Teka, Travis and I have taken a poll. We vote that Pappy be allowed on the Big Bed at your house. All three of us sleep on the Big Bed with muzzer and Dad. Teka weighs about 8 lbs, and sleeps up at the pillows. I weigh about 25 lbs., and sleep curled up against muzzer. Muzzer weighs less than Travis, and sleeps against the edge of the mattress on her side, except when she gives up and sleeps on the trundle in her office. Travis weighs about 118 and sleeps next to Dad, who weighs more than Travis, and sleeps on whatever is left. We support the theory that a crowded bed is a happy bed, except for muzzer.

Tin Tin, it's not because of our training, because we do none, but somehow Pappy never tries to get into bed. But I did notice some paw prints on the guest room sofa...

Gus, you can call that very happy, but with that many bodies on the bed you lose the right to call it sleep.

Hmm, 85lbs and growing, 55lbs and losing weight, and a constant 25lb. And of course, moi, but we won't divulge that number:-) And yes, all four of us on the bed. And despite what pappy's fella says, sleep is to be had. But nothing electrical, and the winters really aren't that cold here!

We used to let Freddie in bed just before we got up. It kept getting earlier and earlier. Now he's in w/ us as soon as we go to bed. Smart dog.

Hey...us dogs get lots of sleep. It's muzzer and Dad who are beginning to look like zombies! I think humans may not really be pack animals at heart!

3dog, You live in the heat-bubble of the city. Out here in the 'burbs it's cold.

Jim, Dogs are like vampires, you only have to invite them in once...

Gus, If being a pack animal means an initiation of rolling in poo, then humans most certainly are not.
