Mission Really Accomplished

Mission Really Accomplished: Lost BallAfter the ball fiasco, Pappy and I returned to the field to recover the lost ball with excellent results. I stood in the position from which I threw the ball, judged it's velocity, gauged the lay of the slope, and walked to a precise location in the brush below. It wasn't there, but a couple of minutes later we found it. The ball is bright red, after all.

Pappy was ecstatic, and so far this ball lives on. Unfortunately I can't say the same for our perfect ice field for dog curling, which is disintegrating in the warmer weather.

Great success! You need to keep an eye on the one indistructible ball that you have! We are off to DWB to vote for this month's awesome blog!

Dachsies,
He actually has a second indestructable ball, but it's buried somewhere in the back yard under the sheet of sleet. Indestructable doesn't necessarily mean unmisplaceable.

Do we have an update on the lost glove yet?

Gus,
We had it buried in the comments. We were released early from work that day, but a daylight search was unsuccessful under the sleet. Sometime this weekend I'll carry the glove's mate around in hopes they call to each other.

Hi Pappy,
we came by again to see your blog is doing wonderful. Love your stories... I once through a ball in the dark and discovered it hanging in a tree the next day... ;-)
Pappy, you have been tagged by us. Please come back to our place to see!

Habca and Miriam,
I see in your blog that this one has made the rounds in Germany-- it's been around here too. I'm happy to do it because you are such a beautiful dog, but I may not pass the tag along if that's OK.

Glad you found your ball... I lose them all the time usually in mommy's bed where she is quick to find them usually by lying on it ;-)

Scrappy,
The Papster stays off the bed, but he often leaves a ball at the bottom of the stairs. If it were at the top of the stairs I'd be worried about his motives.
