Greetings From New York

We've popped up for a visit to NYC this weekend, staying with my brother-in-law in Chelsea. After a late arrival we raced by cab to make a dinner reservation in Soho, listening to the story on the news radio of a family who was burglarized and had their Yorkie stolen-- "They took our money and jewelry, but we didn't care about that stuff. Just give us back our dog."

We did a lot of wandering today, and saw a few dogs including a cute Rat Terrier in the Fluevog shoe store and a Lab in Bloomingdales. But from what little I have read, no-nonsense New Yorker attitudes don't lend themselves to peace in the dog parks. Manhattan Chien just put up a snarky post about the misanthropes at the city dog runs, making it sound like owners are inches from murdering each other. Thank goodness for the relative good will of our little suburban Maryland dog park-- there's no place like home.

Did you get a bite out of the Big Apple? Was it tasty?

Chow for now,

Tin Tin (who needs to lose 5 kilos, pah!) xo

PS thanks for your advice. Now, everyone in the world, please put on 5 kilos!

Yeah, dog owners are hoomans after all and not all hoomans are nice. The hoomans at the bark park today were mostly nice. My Mum and Dad prefer spending time with animals than other hoomans.

Love and Licks,
Texas (and his humans).

OK, now click your little red shoes together three times and go back to Pappy!

Tin Tin,
After my weekend eating in NYC, you're looking thinner already.

Texas,
And the humans in New York are a special breed. Fascinating and terrifying.

Gus,
No, Pappy, this was a real, truly live place. And I remember that some of it wasn't very nice - but most of it was beautiful.
But just the same, all I kept saying to everybody was, "I want to go home!" And they sent me home.
Doesn't anybody believe me?

Mummy wishes she was in NYC. It's freezing cold here and NYC would actually be warmer.

And it would have better restaurants... And shopping... And things to do....

Sorry, Mummy just took over the computer for a moment. :)

Woofs,

Finny

Jack was pretty miserable this weekend. No one really played with him at the dog park. I mean, he only had Ollie, Max, Molly, Honey, Truman, Louise, Lucky, Napoleon, and of course, his poor, be-slobered sister. But not anyone who *gets* him like Pappy does. He just came home from park and moped both days.

Finnegan's Mom,
I'm sure you're right that it was warmer in NYC, but it sure didn't feel it. We were as windburned as sailors after five or six hours walking in the cold.

Jojo's Mom,
THAT'S IT! Pappy's been whining over everything since we got home, and he must need Jack's stabilizing influence.
