Ooooh, yes, we like it very much! The flecks of purple leaves add just the perfect touch. This one definitely needs to hang on your wall for Pappy to admire on a daily basis.

Hey,

Love your blog - it has the right balance of humour, love and none of the saccharine :-)

Give Pappay a rub on the head for me.

Thanks all. We plan to send this portrait to the dog blogging hall of fame, once it is completed. I'm voting for Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan for the site, just 'cause I like the name.

Great art transcends time and place. But the subject is one of my personal favorites, and you have done a great job of capturing his personality.

This is a beautiful piece. We checked out your art blog and love it!

If my Mom was granted one wish for a talent she wished she had it would be yours....to be able to draw, paint, etc. Ahhh what a great thing that you can do.

Amici,
Well, few people who really set their mind to taking up art aren't surprised at what they are able to accomplish with some decent instruction. Of course if you want it not to be frustrating, that never happens.

Gus and Tierre,
Thanks.

Stellar artwork, indeed! My Mom has been inspired to take an art class this winter. As for the picture on my blog, it is indeed Santorini. My Mom & Dad loved it there and stayed in the city of Oia, where a little dog who looked a lot like Pappy followed them around for two days. The Cyclades are beautiful, hopefully you'll get back there someday!

Wow - that's a great portrait of Pappy!

Bella,
I imagine you probably came across it, but if you haven't seen Summer Lovers it is set in Oia. Godawful movie, but you'd probably recognize the site.

Charles,
Thank you sir.
