Prepping for Nablopomo

The Parts of My Dog 1I'm doing Nablopomo next month, doing a posting each day of November over in my art blog. In this, I am joined by Finnegan's mom, Andrea. For my effort, I wanted to come up with a subject for a series of paintings-- not that I'm going to do a painting every day, but I'd like to be working on them continuously. What the heck... rather than neglect this blog, if I have my dog in the paintings I figure I can cross-post them here. Efficiency, thy name is Pappy.

I've had a semi-professional photo taken with Finny and now I just need a great painting of him. Hmmm...

By the way, I think you need an RSS feed for Pappy's Blog.

Thanks for pointing that out. A million years ago I had redirected the feed to my Feedburner feed manually, and I had to put back some code now that Blogspot handles the redirection... blah blah blah. Took me a little while to figure out what I had done.

I'm sure it was hard to come up with a subject you could paint everyday...

i want so badly to post one of your pappy paintings on MY blog, and pass it off as a commissioned piece of my own girl, but that would be wrong. it would be, wouldn't it?

Becky,
Eh, not so very wrong. It would be fine with me up until that moment when I'm getting a billion dollars a painting and send out my army of lawyers to lay claim to your blog. I've always wanted another blog.

Charlie,
Every day. Every single day. Whoah, this is giving me an attack.

The Mommy can't wait to see some more paintings of Pappy. She used to do charcoal drawings when she was a young thing but now she is old as dirt now and is too busy chasing after us. Heheheh.

Norman Rockwell used to say that if a painting wasn't going well, he'd put a dog in it to make it better. So you're right about adding Pappy's cute face anytime. Can't go wrong with such an interesting subject. Who could resist? :)

Thanks for posting over on my blog - I kind of got burnt out on posting AND doing stuff on flickr so it will be nice to get back to both once nablopomo starts again.

Looking forward to your art!
