Show Us The Sad Pappy
You don't have to look far to see the happy Pappy, as he chases his ball or chases votes on the campaign trail, but here is the sad Pappy. Today was his bath day, prior to the application of his monthly flea goo, and it's all we can do to get him upstairs to the bathroom as the tub fills. The steadying hand in the photo is the countermove to his "flashflood shake" maneuver. Check out his accusing glare-- pretty withering.

oh Pappy...I am so with you in the whole bath thing...I HATE THEM...cant i just go in the ocean...mom can soap me up and let me go in the water there...what is the difference..really?
Buster and MJ, Thank goodness for his resilience. Pack him with enough treats and toss the ball to him in the tub and he perks up. Yesterday he learned how to drop the ball into the plastic bowl we use for rinsing.
the maggie resemblance has never been keener than in this shot.
I hate baths too. Cheer up at least it is now over.
Becky,
I didn't post the follow up picture after the full-body shakedown. Ooooh, poofy!
Cairo,
It's never over, but at least winter and the beautiful red coat have decreased the frequency.
Best,
Pappy's Fella
There's too much ground to cover between our bath and the front or back door, so the ma doesn't want to risk a demonic soaking wet dog dashing through the snow...ummm I mean house.
Hence my garden hose-down jobbies.
Chow for now,
Tin Tin xo
Pappy my man... I feel for yah!~ Not sure why the bipeds think they're necessary! But you do a very very convincing sad face.

Tin Tin, rather than flee the tub, Pappy tries to move the water out... but it's not too hard to foil these combinations.
Toby, Pappy thanks you for your sympatico.
