Pappy is our mustachioed terrier mutt, with the bandy-legged gait of a cowpoke and the grizzled mug of a chuckwagon cook. These are his ongoing adventures...
I've been giving some thought to Pappy lately. His chest is so deep, and his forelegs are long and overdeveloped. And his brow is kind of beetled. And that fur... I haven't seen many dogs with that fur.
But it's best not to overthink his heritage. We'd hate not to be allowed back in the dog park.

Are you saying that Pappy's grandpappy was a baboon? Isn't that kind of insulting to Pappy? Perhaps he is actually a highly intelligent species from outer space who is secretly keeping tabs on everything you are doing... or, just a happy puppy.
Peanut, We saw some baboons at the Cape of Good Hope. Cute to look at, but intimidating. They try to scare you into dropping any food. Not that Pappy would do that.
Gus, Hopefully Pappy will take care of us when we are old and doddery. Maybe we can get him to drive our car.

Cheers,
Texas and his humans.
Hey, let's not judge baboons now. If, and I am just saying if, Pappy is part baboon it should do a lot to vindicate them in the public mind.
My mom laughed when I showed her this post. She says she think's Pappy and Baboons are cute.
So, Pappy is just another step in evolution, right? Maybe he had to happen so a more intelligent and caring species was available.

I love the theory. Mommy just laughed and laughed at the pictures.
Scrappy,
Somehow the comparison to little lambies or bunnies would be more comforting to us. But that works better for you and Toby.
