I mentioned a few days ago that some friends gave us a hand-me-down wading pool for Pappy's enjoyment. What I didn't mention is that it was the super jumbo model, as big as our patio table. Seriously, he could do laps in this thing. Think Mark Spitz... Greg Louganis for crying out loud. We're going to be breeding squadrons of mosquitos in this baby.
We put away the diving board attachment. That was just ostentatious.

Now you're gonna have to get him a pair of goggles and flippers. :-) And don't forget about the 30 minutes waiting period after meals.

Totally off topic -- but I had to tell you (and anyone else from Wheaton dog park tuning in today) that the wait is over.... we got Max's DNA test results! He has no primary breed. His two secondary breeds are Border Collie (no surprise there) and Siberian Husky. And even more surprising .... there is some Dachshund "in the mix."
Wow! And all I have is an old wash tub. Pappy, you are one lucky dog!

Just walk up to the first 8 year-old you see and ask if he has a wading pool he's outgrown. You'll be in the drink by the end of the day.

My mommy got me a pool when I first met her and I would not get in and she discarded it!Now on a hot summers day I sit on top of the upturned pool and get tan!

Minou and Birdie HATE pools. We have a big one in our backyard and they won't go near it. I wish they would.

It's stinking hot in these parts, and Pappy was loving all his pools-- both at the dog park and at home. Not sure how he lived without them until now. He used to just slop water out of his bowl and lie in the damp spot.
