Somebody Ate This Tomato
I found this partially eaten garden tomato (Quayle spelling: tomatoe) in the back yard this morning. I'm not making any accusations here, but the usual culprits, crows, normally leave punctures rather than neatly chomped edges. And the bites look bigger than a racoon's mouth, so it must have been a biggish animal... hmm.

It's circumstantial evidence. We demand a trial by jury!

A jury of Pappy's peers would probably end up eating the evidence.
Hmm, could have been an evil tree rat (squirrel). That's my bet.

what a waste Pappy...tomatoes are most best in marinara sauce or with fresh mozzarella cheese
Well... to the guilty party's credit, the stem looks like this one had already fallen from the vine. Whoever that guilty party might have been.
Maybe it was a cat with dog shaped teeth!!!
Pappy must have been hungry!
At least it's something health!
Lots of Licks, Ruby

We have that happen at our house! Blame it on the deer! I'm sure it was the deer Pappy!
Love ya lots,

Well, the evidence room lost the tomato corpse. No DNA possible, so Pappy is off the hook.
:) I've been so careful not to give Charlie tomato scraps, in hopes that my little garden will escape his notice, but where there's a hunger, there's a way... or something like that.
